2012- Typhoon Vicente

 

Typhoon Vincent formed in July 18 around the cost of Luzon and effect Luzon. Typhoon Vicente remained a weak tropical depression (a stronger level of a thunderstorm) until it entered the south China sea. The storm quickly intensified into a category 4 Typhoon (second highest category) and make land fall on top if Guangzhou. The Typhoon Vincente’s wind was 130 MPH (1 min sustain) and a Pressure of 950Hpa the storm then it weakened before moving inland. Total damage of $350.9m (2012 USD) and 32 Death.

2013- Typhoon Haiyan

Typhoon Haiyan was probably the most famous typhoon in History. Typhoon Haiyan was a late season storm, and it formed on November 3, around the islands in eastern Philippines. Typhoon Haiyan soon intensified into a Category 5 (highest category) then the storm got its peak at winds of 195MPH (1m sustain) and a pressure of 895Hpa and it make landfall at that intensity. The storm soon went through the Philippines, destroying anything in its path, then it weakened all the way before landfall in Guangzhou. The damage from Typhoon Haiyan was up to $2.5 billion (2013 USD) and 6000 deaths in the Philippine (Costliest storm to hit the Philippine) and 2.98 Bn damage in total.

2014- Typhoon Rammasun

Typhoon Rammasun was the strongest storm ever to make landfall in Guangzhou. It started off the eastern Philippine and made landfall in the Philippines as a category 3, becoming the third costliest storm to impact Philippines. Then it went through the Philippines and rapidly intensified into a Category 5 and making landfall in the coast of Guangzhou, causing over $8.08bn of damage and 225 deaths.

2015-Typhoon Mujigae

Typhoon Mujigae maintain was the third largest storm to ever hit Guangzhou. It formed in the south China sea becoming a category 4 and make landfall at that category. The damage is up to $4.2bn and 31 deaths.

2017- Typhoon Hato

 

Typhoon Hato was another costly storm that hit Guangzhou on 2017. The storm started off in the northern cost of Philippines. After becoming a category 3, it made landfall in Guangzhou. Total damage over 6.41bn and 24 deaths.

2018- Typhoon Mangkhut

 

Typhoon Mangkhut was an extraordinarily strong storm that affected Guangzhou in 2018. It startedf in the center Pacific, while it strengthened all the way until landfall. After landfall it weakened all the way to Guangzhou. Total Damage over $3.77bn and 134 deaths.
