How to Draw Arm Muscles
How to Draw Arm Muscles

Drawing Biceps, and Triceps.
The biceps anatomy is a lot to study, by itself, so we will first break it down. The reason why it is called a bicep, is because it’s actually two halves of a muscle, smushed together. This creates a bulk on their arm. We won’t go into details, with the triceps, and the deltoid, because it’s too complicated, so I will group them all into one section. To draw these muscles, you need to cut lines in the bulk, to show that they are muscles.
Lower Arm Muscles
The elbow of the lower arm is a connection, between the upper arm and the lower arm. It is a changeable joint of the arm, to help turn and rotate. The lower arm muscles are almost identical to the upper arm, because the muscles get more squeezed in, when nearing the end of their section. The lower arm gets much smaller near the hand, and the veins in the arms show more, near the hand as well.
So, the basic layout of a sketch that I do, starts with penciling, and I started shading already, because I don’t usually draw arm muscles, so I needed it to create 3D realism. I wanted to try Logan, from X-men, because he usually wears a tank top, so it is easier to recreate muscles. This is just an example, and probably the worst sketch ever, but you can see how the muscles work out now.
