Social Media & Video Games: What are the dangers?

Social media is a big part of our world.  Nearly everyone is using their phone to text others online, play a video game, do schoolwork and so on. 

What are the effects of social media?

Social media can be harmful or beneficial.  For example, you can make friends in a video game but if you start to int. people will start talking trash on you. They might even start cyberbullying. You can make your own choice of whether social media is more harmful or beneficial after reading the article. In this article it will be about a part of social media “Video games”.

People have a different perspective, and they will think of you differently and with a different attitude. They might be raised to you which is also cyberbullying when people get bullied people will get depressed because they are depressed. In the world, 800,000 people died because of depression. This impacts because there is a possibility that you will die because of depression. According to a September 2020 report by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, the suicide rate for pediatric patients rose 57.4% from 2007 to 2018. If people were dying, then the people around them might also be depressed because they cared about them. If people are bullied on the internet people won’t feel good because they are bullied, if it is even worse people can get depression.

Video games

 Aggressive attitude happens everywhere now, maybe it is because you forgot to ban a hero in Wang Zhe will start raging at you if you glitch and you gave away the first blood even I will start talking trash on you. Mostly because people have different attitudes between reality and on social media mostly because on social media some of the apps you are anonymous, people don’t know you. But if you are a ragging infant of a screen when your parent see that, they will take your device away. If they take your device away you will no longer feel mad at the person you bullied you, you will be mad at your parents, and what did your parent do wrong? Anger is a natural response to perceived threats. It causes your body to release adrenaline, your muscles to tighten, and your heart rate and blood pressure to increase. Your senses might feel more acute and your face and hands are flushed this means you will turn ugly when you are mad. Research shows that our emotions can have positive and negative consequences on our bodies and affects the appearance of our skin. … Strwess, anger depression, embarrassment, and fear are some of the fundamental emotions that we go through every day and each of these moods adversely affects our skin, so if you are mad it will also harm your skin and there are barely any women who don’t care about their skin quality, resulting on social media you can be bullied when you are bullied you get mad there aren’t any advantages when you get mad.

Even though the person who bullied you should give reparation to you, they won’t. Harm is done because they start insulting you this proves they have harmed (emotional damage). The harm will continue to the present, according to the above mentioned it makes you look not as good when you get mad. On the other hand, when playing video games, it makes you feel happy if your teammates aren’t horrible and win the game. Then the harmful side of video games is that even though there aren’t a lot of people who are addicted to video games, there are usually some people that are addicted to video games. Some parents decide to send their children to an addiction treatment hospital. Since it is a hospital, the government is giving the hospital money to improve or to build it. So, this refers to the money that came from the taxes that the citizens pay the country. Most citizens were hoping that the money they give to the country will make their life quality better and the government will be built new roads etc…

When studying is making people stressed and get depression or even committing suicide, so those students could play the video game. While playing video games can release stress and educate them. Now there is a problem with those video games because the government decide to ban video games. After all, a parent has been reporting their child for playing too many video games. Students have the right to play video games, in addition, it should be the parent’s problem not taking care of their children’s devices. By the way, not all students are addicted to video games which makes these students just want to release stress when playing video games, this means the government is taking away their children’s freedom and right to play video games, which is unfair for them. To summarize the government shall not judge and ban games judging on the minority of students instead of the majority.
