Micheal Vey: The Final Spark
Micheal Vey: The Final Spark is the last book of the Micheal Vey series. And, the quality of it is a long way from the first book. First of all, most of the book is about random characters that are 1. Not developed, and 2. Running around doing things that aren’t important. The author tries to be as dramatic as possible making Micheal, the main character, come back to life. This part, I understand, but in the process of this, the author made the first part of the book very boring. As I mentioned before, random characters that weren’t developed yet were being thrown into the story, with no role whatsoever. Furthermore, with these people, the plot was also very confusing and uninteresting. After the defeat in the last book (Micheal Vey: Battle of Hades), the enemy had become disorganized and muddled. However, you’d never expect that every single troop in the enemy’s army would flee!
And so, most of the book was filled with continuous fading of enemy bases, even though it could’ve been done in a couple of sentences. It took me a few tries to get through that part. Another flaw in the book is that, even though the author spent so much time to plan the dramatic ending of this series, it was way too short. Micheal, in the end, had become so utterly powerful that he was energy itself, he could teleport, and he was immortal. Which basically made him a god. In short, the ending took way less time than it should’ve, since Micheal just disintegrated anyone who came in his way.
To sum it up, I was a little bit disappointed in this series’ weak ending.
I don’t know about this author, but I learned about it on audible.com where you can now listen to his audiobooks for free. Thank you for your opinion and I will keep that in mind when I come across this series. Thanks, Howie!
